About Me

I have never been one to step very far into the political side of life.  I grew up in a lower, middle class family in which no one really conducted discussions about what was going on in the government at that point in time.  Both my parents are conservative republicans and I too follow in their footsteps, as I also find myself in favor of this party.  My parents would extensively research and vote in all the major elections and I guess they felt as if it was their duty to do so.  This was as far as they had gone when it came to divulging themselves into politics and government.  No political meetings, no political parades, and no family discussions about government.  I find myself in a very similar position.  It's very hard for me to find time for anything else besides school and work.  I do place importance in becoming socially involved in the political scheme of life, but it's very hard to find the time.  I have voted in all the major elections since I became age eligible and it seems that is all I have time to participate in.  Also, having served for 4 years in the Navy Reserve, I feel I have contributed to the needs and wants of the American government.  I enjoyed my time in the Reserve.  I took a stand for the country I love, helping in any way that I could.
